Brow Lamination in San Diego — Fuller, Fluffy Brows for 6+ Weeks
Brow lamination is a semi-permanent styling treatment that restructures your existing brow hairs — lifting, straightening, and setting them upward for a fuller, fluffier "brushed-up" look that lasts 6 to 8 weeks. No tattoo, no needles. At The Beau PMU Studio in San Diego, it's performed by Siyeon Park, a World USA PMU Championship judge who maps every brow to your natural bone structure. Think of it as a keratin perm for your eyebrows.

Brow lamination uses a gentle keratin-based solution to soften the bond in each brow hair, so it can be re-set into a new direction — usually brushed up and out for a fuller, editorial look. A second setting solution locks the new shape in place. The whole process takes about an hour and is completely non-invasive. Unlike microblading or ombré powder brows, nothing is tattooed into the skin — brow lamination just reshapes the hairs you already have. It's the fastest way to get fuller-looking brows with zero downtime.

Every lamination includes a consultation and brow shaping mapped to your face — not a one-size template.
Who Is Brow Lamination For?
- Your brows are unruly or grow in different directions — lamination trains them to sit up and stay put.
- You have gaps or sparse spots — brushing the hairs upward covers thin areas and reads fuller instantly.
- You want the laminated / "soap brow" look without redoing it with gel every morning.
- You're not ready for microblading — lamination is the no-commitment way to test a fuller brow before any tattoo.
- You have downturned or flat brows — lifting the hairs opens up the eye and lifts the whole face.
Brow Lamination vs. Microblading — Which Do You Need?
Quick comparison
- Brow lamination — reshapes existing hair · lasts 6-8 weeks · no needles · $70-100 · results the same day.
- Microblading — tattoos hair-stroke pigment · lasts 12-18 months · semi-permanent · $550+ · heals over 4 weeks.
Not sure which fits? The free consultation covers both — Siyeon will tell you honestly whether lamination alone gets you the look, or whether microblading is the better spend.
The Process — Brow Lamination at The Beau
1. Consultation & brow mapping (10 min)
We look at your natural growth pattern and map the shape that suits your bone structure before any product goes on.
2. Lifting solution (10-12 min)
A keratin-based lifting cream softens each brow hair so it can be re-set. Applied precisely — never over-processed, which is what causes frizzy or brittle results.
3. Setting & shaping (10-12 min)
Hairs are combed into the mapped direction and a setting solution locks them in place.
4. Nourish, tint & finish (15 min)
A conditioning treatment restores moisture. If you added tint, it's applied now. Final shaping and clean-up finish the look.
Aftercare — Making Your Lamination Last
- Keep brows completely dry for the first 24 hours — no water, sweat, or steam.
- Avoid heavy creams and oil-based products on the brow area for 48 hours.
- Brush brows up daily with a clean spoolie to keep the shape crisp.
- Apply a nourishing brow serum or castor oil at night — laminated hairs love moisture.
- Expect 6-8 weeks of wear; re-laminating too often can dry the hair, so we'll space visits properly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does brow lamination cost in San Diego?
Brow lamination at The Beau is $70, or $90 with a custom tint. You can also add a lash lift in the same visit from $130 total. Every service includes brow shaping and a consultation.
How long does brow lamination last?
6 to 8 weeks on average, depending on your natural brow growth cycle and aftercare. Brushing your brows up daily and using a nourishing serum keeps the lift crisp longer.
Does brow lamination damage your brows?
Not when it's done correctly. Damage comes from over-processing — leaving the lifting solution on too long. Siyeon times each step precisely and finishes with a conditioning treatment. We also space appointments so the hair fully recovers between sessions.
What's the difference between brow lamination and microblading?
Brow lamination restyles your existing brow hairs and lasts 6-8 weeks with no needles ($70). Microblading tattoos hair-stroke pigment into the skin to fill real gaps and lasts 12-18 months ($550+). Lamination is best if you have enough brow hair but want it fuller; microblading is best for sparse or patchy brows. The Beau offers both.
Does brow lamination hurt?
No — it's completely painless. You lie back with your eyes open the whole time. Most clients find it relaxing.
Can I wear makeup after brow lamination?
Keep the brow area clean and dry for the first 24 hours — no brow makeup or products on the brows. After that, you likely won't need brow makeup at all, since the laminated hairs already read full and defined.
Should I get a tint with my lamination?
Most clients do. Lamination lifts and fluffs the hairs, but a tint darkens light or sparse ends so the brow reads fuller and more even. If your brows are already dark, lamination alone may be enough — we'll advise at the consultation.
